Welcome to the Adopt-A-Student page / Child Sponsorship Program
After several years of a successful Adopt-a-Child program, we realized a need for children moving into secondary school (high school). Many children drop out of school as it becomes financially impossible for some to continue to attend. High school costs are more expensive, and many families are unable to meet the monetary obligation.
Part of our vision for these villages is to provide an opportunity for the children to have hope and a dream and to actually be able to do something about their future. We have received letters from the students who have been sponsored exclaiming their great joy and appreciation for the opportunity to continue their schooling. These children and families sincerely appreciate the help.
If you decide to sponsor a Student, you are not just paying for high school, you are providing hope and an opportunity that very few Kenyan children have… not only will the children have medical help through CMA and funding for school, but they will be paired up with a CMA professional to mentor them through their studies and show them what is possible through faith, hard work and determination. Our hope is that these children will realize their potential and will see that THEY, as individuals, can make a difference – in their lives and in their communities.
Over the past several years, we have been blessed to witness the success of our first “Adopt-a-Student” endeavor. A young man, Daniel Somba from Nzaikoni Village, was helped through medical school by a generous sponsor. After graduating, that young man has now dedicated himself to giving back. He has assembled a medical team to travel and work with him to provide clinics in his village and others. These same young medical professionals have offered to mentor young students from the villages, providing a resource and hope for a brighter future. [For more on Daniel Somba and CMA, click here]
